I’m very pleased to announce that beginning this Sunday, we are starting a new three-part series.

We’re calling it, “Living in the Spirit: Being Alive vs. Truly Living”

When I say “a new three-part series,” I mean two things.

First, it will be a three-part sermon series: Pastor Mary will preach on this topic this Sunday at all three services. Rev. Kate will follow up in her sermon next Sunday, and I’ll wrap up the series two weeks from now.

But – this is new – we will also explore the same general theme during the Adult Forum (10:10 a.m. at the Old School Building, across the street from the Parish Hall) on those same Sundays. (I’ll lead off this Sunday, Kate will follow up next Sunday, and Pastor Mary will wrap up the series two weeks from now.)

I don’t think we’ve ever done that before – tie the sermon into what is being explored at the Adult Christian Education hour – but now that it’s occurred to us, I wonder why we haven’t!

So often, you hear one theme, or idea, being developed in the sermon, and then WHAM! you’re hit with a whole different, unrelated theme at Adult Forum.

The hope is that sticking with one theme will let you dig deeper – think a bit more, stay with a movement of the heart a bit longer instead of being whiplashed by something new and different.
