The evening begins with a simple soup supper in the Parish Hall at 6:30 p.m. The film begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Childcare provided. For more information, contact Anya Johnson.

We have set BAPTISM DATES from now through July, and the baptisms are preceded by a four-part preparation class held on Sunday mornings. Parents are welcome to attend the classes even before their baby comes home. For more information or to sign up, contact Pastor Mary.

THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO KNIT AND CROCHETED PRAYER SHAWLS! This winter, we’ve provided parishioners, young and old, in hospitals and nursing homes with prayer shawls. They are still needed; contact Rev. Kate for instructions/directions.

ATTENTION ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS: We are currently gathering pictures for the new church directory and would like to include as many of the St. James’ ministries and gatherings as possible. If you have pictures that we can use for the directory, please bring copies and leave them in the Church Office labeled “church directory.” If you have any questions please feel free to contact Kim Stribling through the Church Office.

DO YOU HAVE A KNACK WITH FLOWERS? Have you ever noticed the altar flowers but thought “I could never do that!” Well, now you can. The Altar Guild will be offering a class on how to arrange flowers for the altar for anyone interested in joining the Altar Guild and becoming a flower arranger. Don’t worry, we won’t give you one class and leave you to “sink or swim”. There are experienced flower arrangers on all teams who will continue to work with you until you are ready to solo. If interested, contact Kathleen White through the Church Office at (703)777-1124.

HELP YOUR NEIGHBOR: Even though the holidays are over, hunger still exists in Loudoun County. Interfaith Relief is in need of non-perishable food items, especially fruit juice, canned fruit, and macaroni and cheese. Please leave the items for donation in the Narthex for pick-up.

KWP KIDS are out to “change” the world… and we mean change. The cold weather has arrived with our winter session, and KWP is collecting change in Heat-A-Home banks. The money will go to a program that helps families with their heating bills when they need it the most. If you have loose change that you would like to contribute, then please find our Heat-A-Home bank located in the Narthex.

ST. GABRIEL’S SATURDAY NIGHT SERMON SERIES: “Who are you?” Join St. Gabriel’s for the weeks leading up to Easter as we explore who Jesus is and what that tells us about our own identities. St. Gabriel’s Saturday Night Service, Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. in St. James’ Nave. www.saintgabriels.net or (703)779-3616.

Did you know that you can get these announcements electronically each Friday?
