Today at St. James’

¨      Adult Forum:  Why conflict happens when there is growth in an individual, group, or church… Christian conversion is not so much a one-time emotional experience as a life-long process of apprenticeship...The messiness of mixing church and politics… The challenge of wealth and possessions… All these issues sound current, but they were exactly what our church was wrestling with 2,000 years ago, and has been ever since. Join us for the second of a seven-part Bible study series on at the Book of Acts. Led by Fr. John and Rev. Kate, Adult Forum runs from 10:10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Old School Building, corner of Wirt and North Streets.

¨       Newcomers: Join us today at 10:15 a.m. in the Janney Parlor for coffee, friendly chat, meeting clergy and fellow parishioners and gaining more information about St. James’.  Also, if you wish, we’ll conduct a brief “discovery” tour of our facilities.

Annual Giving Campaign

¨      Our annual giving campaign is now underway.

¨      Unless you’re a newcomer – in which case, you are our guest – you should have received a pledge card in the mail last week.

¨      We ask that you return your pledge card between now and Sunday, October 28.

¨      By doing so, you help your Vestry get an accurate picture of how much money we can plan on to fund St. James’ ministries and mission for 2008.

¨      We conclude our Annual Giving Campaign with a potluck “victory dinner “ at Ida Lee Rec Center, on Sunday, October 28, at 5:00 p.m. – See the orange insert!
