Sunday School at St. James' encourages children, ages 3 through High School seniors, to learn about and grow in God's love. Sunday school meets on Sunday mornings from 10:10 to 11:00 a.m. throughout the school year. (Adult Forum runs concurrently with the Sunday school program.)

The Episcopal Children's curriculum currently used in Pre-K through 5th grade classrooms divides each year into four units: Old Testament Themes, New Testament Themes, Sacrament/Worship Themes, and Church Themes. Each student is provided with material intended to inform parents of what is being taught each week in Sunday school. The aim of this curriculum is to help teachers and learners carry out their Baptismal Covenant. The focus is on both faith and practice.

Middle School and High School students will begin a new curriculum this Fall, titled Journey to Adulthood. The focus of this program is to strengthen, encourage, heal, correct, and empower young people's lives through God's love and instruction.

The success of the Sunday school program at St. James' is due to the dedicated efforts of over 40 volunteers and committed parents.
