At St. James’, the greeters and ushers work together to welcome people as they arrive before the service begins and, if given an opportunity, continue the welcome following the service. Greeters also ring the church bell approximately 10 minutes before the service begins and steward the Visitor’s book. In addition to welcoming, ushers help with the movement of people during the service, collect and present the offering, tally attendance, and tidy up after the service.
